Introduction

Complements allow the integration of additional information of use regulated by the authority for a specific sector or activity, allowing the additional information to be protected by the digital seal of the CFDI.

As PAC, Sovos must support the certification of CFDI with the complements published by SAT, as well as the versions and revisions of these on the dates indicated by the authority. On the SAT page for Invoice Complements (Spanish only) it is found the list of complements that can be incorporated into CFDI and CFDI of Retenciones according to the operations they reflect.

This article lists the complements as well as the versions and revisions that can be used on the Sovos certification platform as a PAC.

All complements mentioned in this article can be used via Stamping webservice or Issuance webservice.
Sovos, as PAC, has other integration mechanisms such as issuance by integration file (for CFDI 4.0, or Retenciones 2.0) and issuance from a manual capture form in the issuance portal.

Within the CFDI structure, the complements must be reported at:

For CFDI: node /cfdi:Comprobante/cfdi:Complemento
For Concept Complement of CFDI: node /cfdi:Comprobante/cfdi:Conceptos/cfdi:Concepto/cfdi:ComplementoConcepto
For CFDI of Retenciones: node /retenciones:Retenciones/retenciones:Complemento

Only CFDI can make use of Concept Complements.

Dates in a green box indicate start of validity in a productive environment, while dates in a red box indicate the end of validity in that environment

In March 31th, 2023 the coexistence period between versions 3.3 and 4.0 of the CFDI ended.
New fiscal documents issued after March 31th must be issued with the CFDI 4.0 or Retenciones 2.0 standard.

Digital Tax Stamp Complement¹

This complement accredits the validity and certification of an invoice generated by a CFDI certification provider (PAC or PCCFDI) once the document has been issued, so it is a complement for use only by PACs. Taxpayers can not use this complement.

For Retenciones 1.0, version 1.0 of the complement is used, while for Retenciones 2.0, CFDI 3.3 and CFDI 4.0, version 1.1 of the complement is used.
